What you get

• 10 creatures, 3 colours each: slime, bat, ghost, spider, mushroom, eyeball, snake, rat, beetle, wisp.
• Every creature and colour: a 4-frame move loop, a hurt frame and a 4-frame death (squash and a puff of smoke in its own colour).
• 4 walking monsters (Goblin, Orc, Skeleton, Zombie): 4 directions with idle and walk, a hurt frame and a death, in the same layout as Gridwright Top-Down Characters.

• Strict 16x16 grid, one frame per cell.
• One sheet per monster plus every frame as its own PNG, at 1x, 2x and 3x.
• JSON maps with the frame rectangles and suggested speeds.
• Same grid and style as the Gridwright Top-Down Tileset and Top-Down Characters: the battle screenshot uses all three.

The free sample has 83 sprites: the slime and the bat in all colours and the walking goblin.

Licence

Use and modify in personal and commercial projects. Shipping the sprites inside your game is fine. No resale or redistribution of the assets, modified or not. Credit is appreciated, not required. Not for AI training or NFTs.

How it was made

Every frame is drawn by code: creature shapes and their motion are rules, shaded on fixed colour ramps. The code was written with AI-assisted tools. No image generator was used, and no third-party art is included.
