About this pack

A sci-fi top-down 16x16 pixel art tileset: 409 pieces for spaceship and space station interiors, with real wall autotiles, doors for every wall, space outside the hull and props for every room. For sci-fi RPGs, survival and colony sims, station management, derelict-ship horror and top-down shooters.

Licence in one line: use it in your commercial games; do not resell the files. No credit required.

What you get

  • 47-tile wall autotiles (188 tiles) in 4 finishes: fleet hull panels, white lab panels, military plating with hazard stripes and a rusted derelict hull. A 14 px face on the edges that look down the screen, dark tops, rounded corners.
  • 32 floors: deck plates, metal grating, lab tiles, hex tiles, diamond plate, crew carpet, circuit and derelict plates, 4 variants each.
  • Space: 4 starfield tiles that mix freely, a ringed planet and a moon, for the outside of the hull.
  • 16 door frames: a front door, a double door and an airlock for horizontal walls, and a side door for walls that run up and down the screen. Every door opens in 4 frames and its light turns from red to green.
  • 39 wall decor pieces: windows with stars or a planet, warp-speed windows (animated), wall screens, a big monitor, lamps in normal and red-alert light, a rotating beacon, an alert sign, vents, a fuse box, keypads, pipes, warning signs, an extinguisher, a first-aid cabinet, a weapon rack and a tool board.
  • 33 floor markings: hazard-stripe zones of any size in yellow and red, arrows, cables that join up, a floor vent, a hatch and floor lights.
  • 95 prop sprites: captain chairs and crew seats facing 4 ways, consoles, a holo table, a radar; a reactor, generator, power cells, coolant tank, workbench and server racks; crates, canisters, a tool cart and a drone; med beds, healing pods, specimen tanks, a scanner; beds, a bunk bed, lockers, a mess table, a food dispenser, a terminal desk and alien plants; cryo pods (empty, occupied, open); hydroponic planters in 3 stages; a weapon locker, floor turrets facing 4 ways, force fields both ways; a teleporter.
  • 99 animation frames of 31 animated pieces are included in the count: doors, windows, screens, beacons, consoles, the holo table, radar, reactor, pods, tanks, force fields, the teleporter and more.

Made to drop in

  • Strict 16x16 grid. 83 larger pieces are exact multiples (16x32, 32x16, 32x32) and stand on their bottom row.
  • Every file is named after the object (captain_chair_left.png, door_airlock_f3.png), and the neighbour bitmask is in every wall file name and in tiles.json, so you can wire the walls to any engine.
  • No baked shadows, so nothing to strip before you add your own lighting.
  • Single PNGs and sheets, at 1x, 2x and 3x, and a README with the bitmask diagram, how the doors, hazard zones and cables join.
  • Same grid and view as Gridwright Modern Office & Home, Interiors and the Top-Down Tileset.

The demo ship and the demo station in the screenshots were assembled by a small autotiler from these same tiles. The red-alert screenshot is the same ship with the alert lamps swapped in and a red overlay darkening everything that is not a light (a preview effect; the pack ships the pieces, not darkened copies).

Try before you buy

The free sample has 66 pieces: the full hull wall set, the deck plates, the front door (4 frames), a window, a lamp, a captain chair facing 4 ways, a console and crates.

What it does not include

No characters, no Tiled or RPG Maker files and no engine project files. The art is drawn at 16x16; the 2x and 3x files are scaled copies.

Licence

Use and modify in personal and commercial projects. Shipping the tiles inside your game is fine. No resale or redistribution of the assets, modified or not. Credit is appreciated, not required. Not for AI training or NFTs.

How it was made

Every piece is drawn by code: the wall shapes are exact geometry, so the pieces always meet. The code was written with AI-assisted tools. No image generator was used, and no third-party art is included.
