What's in the pack
A 16x16 top-down cyberpunk street at night: 163 pixel art sprites, 28 of them animated: wet roads with neon reflections, sidewalks that join, a building facade kit with lit windows, neon signs that flicker, holograms, vending machines, a steaming food stall, hover cars in 4 directions and a rain overlay that loops. For top-down RPGs, shooters, detective and stealth games set in a neon city.
Licence in one line: use it in your commercial games; do not resell the files. No credit required.
What you get
- Roads (22): wet asphalt with pink, cyan and amber reflections, dry asphalt, dashed, double and zebra markings both ways, stop lines, an arrow, a manhole, an animated puddle, alley concrete and a drain grate.
- Sidewalks (13): slabs with curbs: centre, edges, outer and inner corners, so blocks of any shape join.
- Buildings (29): a facade kit in concrete and dark metal: walls, windows dark or lit cyan, pink or amber, shutters, lit doors, roof edges and roofs; pipes and a wall AC unit whose fan turns.
- Neon signs (48 frames): RAMEN, HOTEL, OPEN, BAR, 24/7, vertical BAR and INN, and glyph signs (noodles, cocktail, bolt, eye, heart), each with 4 flicker frames: on, a bright pulse, a dead letter, dim. Our own words, no brands.
- Holograms (12 frames): a spinning cube, a swimming koi and a ring of glyphs over their projectors.
- Props (15): vending machines, a food stall with rising steam, a street lamp and the pool of light under it, chain-link fences, a barrier, a dumpster, trash bags, a crate, a traffic cone.
- Hover cars (16 frames): a cab and a cruiser facing all 4 directions with flickering thrusters.
- Weather (8 frames): a 64x64 rain overlay that repeats and loops, and a splash.
Made to drop in
- One exact grid: every file is a multiple of 16 px; ground tiles are full squares; the build checks it, and that every animation has different frames and the rain loops.
- JSON for everything: sheet rectangles at 1x, 2x and 3x, and cyberpunk.json with every animation's frames and fps.
- Clear names: sidewalk_inner_ne.png, metal_window_pink.png, sign_ramen_f3.png, hovercar_cab_up_f1.png.
- A demo street (Demo folder): the street from the screenshots as a picture and a JSON of every sprite and its position, to rebuild it in your engine.
- The street in the screenshots was put together from these same sprites.
What it does not include
No characters (Gridwright Modern People fits the grid), no interiors, no roofs seen from above beyond a plain roof tile, no engine project files. The art is drawn at 1x; the 2x and 3x files are scaled copies.
Licence
Use and modify in personal and commercial projects. Shipping the sprites inside your game is fine. No resale or redistribution of the assets, modified or not. Credit is appreciated, not required. Not for AI training or NFTs.
How it was made
Every sprite is drawn by code with a fixed night palette and our own pixel font. The code was written with AI-assisted tools. No image generator was used, and no third-party art is included.
