What's in the pack
A pixel art isometric castle interior kit: 267 pieces on the exact 32x16 diamond grid of Gridwright Isometric Interiors and Isometric Tiles: a throne room, a great hall with a feast table, an armoury, a kitchen with a cooking hearth, a chapel, a library, a bedchamber, a treasury and a dungeon with cell bars, in walls of 4 finishes (full and cut-away), with doors and a portcullis that open and fire that burns. 17 pieces of furniture are drawn in all 4 rotations, each with its own shadow sprite. For RPGs, tactics, dungeon crawlers, kingdom and management games.
Licence in one line: use it in your commercial games; do not resell the files. No credit required.
Build scenes with this pack: every piece of it is in the Gridwright Isometric Builder, a map builder in your browser with all our isometric packs, which exports PNG, GIF, Tiled and Godot scenes.
What you get
- Walls (86): dressed ashlar, rubble stone, limewash over a stone dado with a red band, and wet dungeon stone with moss, 20 pieces each: both back walls, an inner corner, an end post, a doorway under a relieving arch, an open round arch, an arrow slit and a stained-glass window on each side, low cut-away walls with doorways to look into rooms, and two mixed corners. Plus iron cell bars you can see through, with a cell doorway.
- Doors (32): an oak door with iron straps, an iron-studded door and a barred cell door for each wall side, 4 frames from closed to open, and a portcullis that rises in 4 frames.
- Floors (21): castle flagstones, worn flags with moss, cobbled stone, oak planks, chequered marble, red carpet and straw on stone; 3 variants each, all repeating every tile.
- Furniture in 4 rotations (17 pieces): throne, royal dais, red and blue standing banners; high-backed chair; armour stand, weapon rack; butcher table; altar with candles, pew, lectern with a book; tall bookcase, reading desk; canopy bed; treasure chest closed and open; stocks.
- Fire in 4 frames: brazier, standing torch, candelabra, chandelier, a wall torch and a cooking hearth with a cauldron for each wall side.
- And more: a 3-cell feast table laid with food and candles, benches, a map table with markers, a straw bed (2 ways each), stone pillars, a training dummy, a gold pile with gems, coin stacks, sacks, barrel, crate, bucket, a red runner carpet, and wall decor for both wall sides (red and blue banners, a tapestry, a shield with crossed swords, shackles).
- 79 shadow sprites: no shadow is baked into the art; draw them at the opacity you like, or not at all.
Made to drop in
- One exact grid: the floor diamond is 32x16 and every file is a multiple of 16 px. Floors tile with no gap and no overlap, walls share one canvas and anchor, and every wall pattern runs on from cell to cell; the build checks it.
- Mixes with our other isometric packs: the walls and floors of Isometric Interiors, the castle outside in Isometric Castle & Siege, knights and kings to walk in it in Isometric Hero Creator and Isometric Characters (all sold separately).
- Every rotation drawn on its own, not mirrored, so the light stays on the same side.
- One JSON for everything (isometric.json): every sprite's footprint, anchor, facing, height, wall side, frames and shadow, plus the placement formula and the draw order in the README. Works in Tiled or any engine.
- Clear names: wall_ashlar_ne_window.png, wall_dungeon_nw_slit.png, throne_se.png, portcullis_nw_f3.png, brazier_f2.png.
- Single PNGs and sheets at 1x, 2x and 3x, and the palette (.hex, .gpl).
- The rooms in the screenshots were put together from these same sprites, with the shadow sprites on.
What it does not include
No characters (see our isometric character packs), no stairs or upper floors, no roofs or outside walls (the castle outside is in Isometric Castle & Siege), no RPG Maker sheets and no engine project files (the README gives the placement formula and the draw order). Windows, arches and slits come in full-height walls only. The art is drawn at 1x; the 2x and 3x files are scaled copies.

Use and modify in personal and commercial projects. Shipping the sprites inside your game is fine. No resale or redistribution of the assets, modified or not. Credit is appreciated, not required. Not for AI training or NFTs.
How it was made
Every piece is drawn by code: a small ray caster draws each wall, floor and piece of furniture from simple solids on the exact 2:1 grid, turns it to all four sides, lights it from the left and bands it onto 6-tone colour ramps. The code was written with AI-assisted tools. No image generator was used, and no third-party art is included.
