Cozy UI cover

What's in the pack

A soft pastel pixel art GUI for cozy, farming, life-sim and cafe games, on a strict 16x16 grid: 3 themes x 40 pieces + 50 icons + 4 cursors (174 sprites). Everything a cozy game screen needs: windows, a hotbar, inventory slots, a clock, coins, bars, a shop, a quest list, a dialogue box with a name plate and portrait frame, settings controls and tooltips.

Licence in one line: use it in your commercial games; do not resell the files. No credit required.

Three themes that differ in shape

  • Cottage: wooden frames with grain lines and nails, square corners
  • Paper: soft paper with washi tape on the top-left corner and a folded bottom-right corner
  • Garden: round green frames with leaf sprigs and a flower bud on two corners

Every theme has the same pieces with the same names and sizes, so you swap themes by swapping a folder.

In every theme

  • Windows: 9-slice panels, an inset panel, a wide window, a dialogue box, tooltips and shop or quest rows.
  • Buttons (text and icon) in normal, hover, pressed and disabled; tabs; toggles; checkboxes; radio buttons; a slider.
  • Inventory and hotbar slots in normal, hover, selected and locked.
  • HUD: a clock widget, a coin/gem counter, bars for energy, health, water and friendship, a divider.
  • Dialogue: the box, a name plate, a 48x48 portrait frame and a 2-frame "next" arrow.

50 icons and 4 cursors (16x16)

Hearts, energy, coin, gem, star; tools (hoe, watering can, axe, pickaxe, shovel, fishing rod); seeds and crops; food; weather and seasons; home, map, bag, journal, mail, clock, music, sound, gift, paw; settings, close, check, plus, minus, arrows. Pointer, hand, grab and wait cursors.

Made to drop in

  • The grid is exact: every sprite is a multiple of 16 px at 1x, and every sheet position is on the grid.
  • 9-slice margins in a JSON for every piece that stretches; the middle rows and columns are flat, so they tile cleanly (Godot NinePatchRect, Unity sprite borders).
  • Single PNGs and sheets at 1x, 2x and 3x, plus the palette (.hex, .gpl).

What it does not include

No fonts (the text in the screenshots is our own pixel font, sold in Gridwright Pixel Fonts), no engine project files, no animations beyond the 2-frame arrow. The art is drawn at 1x; the 2x and 3x files are scaled copies.

Use and modify in personal and commercial projects. Shipping the UI inside your game is fine. No resale or redistribution of the assets, modified or not. Credit is appreciated, not required. Not for AI training or NFTs.

How it was made

Every sprite is drawn by code: shapes on the 16 px grid, bevelled and outlined by rules, with each theme's details placed in the corners so the pieces still 9-slice. The code was written with AI-assisted tools. No image generator was used, and no third-party art is included.
