Isometric Halloween Mini Pack cover

What's in the pack

A pixel art isometric Halloween pack: 162 pieces on the exact 32x16 diamond grid of Gridwright Isometric Graveyard & Crypt: jack-o'-lanterns with 3 faces that come unlit and lit (4 flame frames), a pumpkin tower, a giant pumpkin, black candles with purple flames, skull candles, a spell circle that glows, potions that bubble, a witch's broom and hat, a candy bucket, a corn shock, a black cat, a sheet ghost, bats and a zombie hand that move, a crow and a spider, three spooky ground materials and ground mist that drifts and loops. Every standing piece has its own shadow sprite. For Halloween events, horror games, RPGs, farming and town games, tactics and strategy games.

Use it in your commercial games; do not resell the files. No credit required.

What you get

  • Pumpkins (42 sprites): carved jack-o'-lanterns with a toothy, an angry and a surprised face, and a tower of three stacked pumpkins, each facing either way (never mirrored: the light stays on the left), unlit for the day and lit for the night with a flickering candle inside; a giant pumpkin and a pile of gourds.
  • Lights (15 + 10): a cluster of black candles with purple flames, a skull candle facing either way, and a round tombstone with a carved pumpkin at its foot, each unlit and lit. A lit piece has the same size and anchor as its unlit piece, so a game swaps them at nightfall.
  • Witch things and props (14): a spell circle on 2x2 cells, a star glowing inside a ring of five burning candles (4 frames); three potions glowing green, purple and pink with bubbles rising (4 frames); a broom lying along either axis, a witch's hat, a candy bucket full of sweets facing either way, and a corn shock with a small pumpkin.
  • Creatures (28): a black cat swishing its tail and a sheet ghost bobbing and waving its hem (4 frames, both directions), a swarm of bats flapping, a zombie hand clawing out of a grave mound (4 frames each), a crow on a post and a big spider.
  • Ground (12 blocks, 9 floors, 32 mist tiles): dead grass, grave dirt and fallen leaves (3 blocks + a half block each, 3 floor tiles each); thin ground mist as a 2x2-cell tile set that repeats seamlessly, 8 frames that loop.
  • 25 shadow sprites: nothing is baked into the art; each standing piece has its own shadow with the same anchor.

Made to drop in

  • Fits Gridwright Isometric Graveyard & Crypt: the same grid, light and outline, so these pieces stand among its iron fences, crypt walls, mausoleum, graves, dead trees and lanterns. The second screenshot shows them together (the graveyard pieces come from that pack). They also fit Isometric Tiles, and monsters and heroes to walk among them are in Isometric Monsters and Isometric Character Creator.
  • One JSON for everything (isometric.json): footprint, anchor, facing, lit pairs, frames and the mist tiling, plus the placement formula and the draw order in the README.
  • Clear names: jack_angry_sw_lit_f2.png, skull_candle_se.png, spell_circle_f3.png, ghost_sw_f1.png, mist_thin_3_f5.png.
  • Single PNGs and sheets at 1x, 2x and 3x, and the palette (.hex, .gpl).
  • The yard in the screenshots was put together from these same sprites only.

What it does not include

No fences, walls, graves, trees or buildings (see Isometric Graveyard & Crypt), no characters, no blood or gore, no RPG Maker sheets and no engine project files (the README gives the placement formula and the draw order). The night look in the screenshots is a darkening shader over the lit sprites. The art is drawn at 1x; the 2x and 3x files are scaled copies.

How it was made

Every piece is drawn by code: a small ray caster draws each block, pumpkin, candle and creature from simple solids on the exact 2:1 grid, lights it from the left and bands it onto colour ramps; the carved faces, the flames and the mist are painted by rules. The code was written with AI-assisted tools. No image generator was used and no third-party art is included.
