What's in the pack

Pixel art enemies and pickups for a survivors-like / bullet-heaven game: 24 enemy types, each at 16x16 and 32x32, 5 elites at 48x48, 2 bosses at 64x64, XP gems, chests and 24 upgrade icons. Every enemy walks or floats in a 4-frame loop facing left and right, flashes white when hit and bursts into a death puff.

Licence in one line: use them in your commercial games; do not resell the files. No credit required.

What you get

  • 24 enemies at two sizes: bat, slime, skeleton, ghost, beetle, eyeball, imp, mushroom, golem, spider, zombie, wisp, rat, biter plant, jelly, crow, scarecrow, pumpkin, worm, ghoul, snake and three tougher recolours. Walk loop (4 frames, both facings), hit flash, death puff (5 frames).
  • 5 elites (48x48) and 2 bosses (64x64): a lich with a staff and a club-swinging brute, each with walk and attack animations.
  • Pickups: XP gems in 5 tiers with sparkle frames, a spinning coin, a chest that opens, a heal heart and a magnet.
  • Upgrade screen: 24 weapon icons at 16x16 (sword, axe, bow, wand, fireball, lightning, holy water, garlic aura, whip, boomerang, orbit orb, spell book...) and 4 level-up card frames (common, rare, epic, legendary) with a socket for the icon.

Made to drop in

  • Sheets with one row per animation and a JSON per sheet, every frame also as its own PNG, at 1x, 2x and 3x.
  • enemies.json lists every enemy with size, move type, a speed hint, the anchor (feet) and the frames and fps of each animation.
  • Every walk loop is checked to flow from the last frame into the first; no two frames are the same.
  • New designs, not our Pixel Monsters pack (14 RPG monsters at 16x16): this one is built for survivors-likes, with two sizes per enemy, elites, bosses, pickups and the upgrade screen.

What it does not include

No player character, no tiles and no sound. Left-facing frames are mirrored.

Use and modify in personal and commercial projects. Shipping the assets inside your game is fine. No resale or redistribution of the assets, modified or not. Credit is appreciated, not required. Not for AI training or NFTs.

How it was made

Every sprite is drawn by code: each design is written once as shapes and rendered with lighting at every size, so the 16x16 and 32x32 versions match. No image generator was used and no third-party art is included. The code was written with AI-assisted tools, which is why the page is tagged AI Assisted.
