Sprite Animation Previewer

Your animation played, checked and lined up

Try it here for free. Downloading what you make comes with the tool: $9.99, paid once, yours for good.
Your animation plays here, with an onion skin and each frame's box and anchor.

Your frames stay on your computer: nothing is uploaded. Loose frames to pack first? The Sprite Sheet Maker does that. A feature you miss? Tell us in our Discord.

The Sprite Animation Previewer plays a sprite sheet animation the way your game will. Drop a sheet and it finds the grid, or drop loose frames and it orders them by name. Play any row or group at the speed you set, ping-pong it, flip it to check the other side, step frame by frame, zoom in, and change the background to dark, light, green or your own colour.

An onion skin shows the frame before in red, and the one after in blue, so a walk cycle that pops or slides shows at once. Each frame's box and anchor are drawn over it, and frames drawn off-centre, the ones that make a sprite wobble in the engine, are counted and marked. One tick lines them up on their feet or their middle, across, up and down or both, and the cells grow if a moved frame would be cut.

Save the sheet as a PNG, the animation as a GIF for your devlog or store page, and a Godot 4 SpriteFrames for an AnimatedSprite2D, or all three in one ZIP. It never uploads your art.
