Isometric Winter cover

What's in the pack

An isometric pixel art winter village on the 32 x 16 grid of Gridwright Isometric Tiles: 18 designs, 115 sprites with frames and facings, a shadow sprite for every object. Snow ground, cabins with smoking chimneys, snowy pines, a decorated tree with blinking lights, presents, a market stall, snowmen and falling snow, lit for night scenes.

Licence in one line: use it in your commercial games; do not resell the files. No credit required.

What is inside

  • Ground: snow, pond ice and frozen earth (blocks, half blocks, floor tiles), snow ramps and stairs in 4 directions.
  • Trees: snowy pines in 3 sizes and a decorated tree with a star and lights that blink in 4 frames.
  • Houses: a log cabin and a plaster cottage on 2 x 2 cells, facing two ways, with icicles; lit windows and chimney smoke in 4 frames.
  • Props: snowmen, a market stall, a sled, a ski rack, presents, a big gift, snowdrifts.
  • Lights: a snowy lamp post and a campfire, unlit and lit in 4 frames.
  • Fences with snow caps along both axes, and falling snow in 4 frames over any cell.

Made to drop in

  • isometric.json gives every sprite's size, footprint, anchor, facing, frame and shadow, and how to place and order them.
  • Every lit piece has the same size and anchor as its unlit piece, so day and night swap cleanly.
  • Single PNGs and sheets at 1x, 2x and 3x, plus the palette (.hex, .gpl). Shadows are separate sprites, never baked in.
  • It shares the grid of Gridwright Isometric Tiles, Interiors, Characters and Animals (each sold separately), and works in the Gridwright Isometric Builder.

What it does not include

No characters (see Isometric Characters), no interiors for the houses, no sound. The Christmas items are generic, with no brands or characters. The art is drawn at 1x; the 2x and 3x files are scaled copies.

Licence

Use and modify in personal and commercial projects. Shipping the tiles inside your game is fine. No resale or redistribution of the assets, modified or not. Credit is appreciated, not required. Not for AI training or NFTs.

How it was made

Every sprite is drawn by code: each object is a set of simple solids, ray-cast from the isometric camera, lit from the left and banded onto colour ramps with outlines. The code was written with AI-assisted tools. No image generator was used, and no third-party art is included.
