What's in the pack

28 top-down pixel art vehicles, each rendered in 8 directions from one model (not rotated pixels, not mirrored): cars, police and emergency vehicles, trucks and buses, bikes and racing, work vehicles and a tank with a turning turret. 120 colour variants, a burned wreck of every vehicle, flashing lights, turning wheels and tracks, and vehicle effects: 1848 sprites. • 8 directions for every vehicle and colour (e, se, s, sw, w, nw, n, ne), each a real render, so the light stays at the top left and the side you see is the side facing the camera.
  • Wrecks: a burned wreck of every vehicle in all 8 directions (224 sprites), with a smoke column and fire that loop.
  • Animations: flashing lights for the police car, ambulance, fire engine and garbage truck (128 frames); turning wheels or tracks for the race car, motorbike, quad bike, tractor and tank (304 frames).
  • A tank with a separate turret in 8 directions (40 sprites) and an anchor point per hull direction in the JSON, so the turret aims anywhere while the hull drives.
  • Straight-down "top" sprites of every colour (152), facing right, for games that rotate one sprite freely.
  • Tint versions of the cars and the van in light greys, to colour in your engine.
  • Effects: exhaust, dust, smoke, fire, explosion, skid marks and tank tracks.
  • Every sprite at 1x, 2x and 3x; a sheet per vehicle with a JSON map; strips with one row per direction; vehicles.json with cell sizes, pivots, colours, frame rates and the turret anchors; palettes and a README.

Sizes

Three-quarter top-down view that matches 16x16 and 32x32 top-down tilesets. One square cell per vehicle: 32 px for the bikes and the quad, 48 px for cars, vans and small work vehicles, 64 px for the limousine, ambulance, dump truck, APC and tank, 80 px for buses and big trucks. The pivot (the ground under the vehicle centre) is the same in all 8 directions.

Why this one

  • 8 real directions: most top-down vehicle packs give one sprite facing up and leave the rest to rotation, which blurs pixel art and puts the shading on the wrong side.
  • The extras a game needs: wrecks, lights, wheels, a turret, effects, tint versions.
  • Engine-ready data: pivots, cells, anchors and frame rates in one JSON file.

What it does not include

No road or city tiles (the backgrounds in the pictures are drawn for the pictures), no sounds, no engine project, no Aseprite files. The text in the pictures is our preview font, not included. The art is drawn at 1x; the 2x and 3x files are scaled copies.
